Our website address is https://homeinspectorinc.com. This website is owned and maintained by Rick Daniel Home Inspections, a privately owned, Tracy, California service based company. Rick Daniel Home Inspections conducts home inspections (under contract) for individuals and companies involved in real estate transactions including the purchase and/or sale of residential living spaces and commercial property.
Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available via the footer of every page on this website.
WE DO NOT COLLECT ANY FINANCIAL INFORMATION ON THIS WEBSITE.
All billing or collection of fees is conducted directly with the client or through third party institutions such as escrow companies, the US Mail, associated banking institutions when using Zelle®, or the PayPal network when collecting payments via credit or debit card. We do not collect or record any bank account or credit card numbers.
The Information We Collect:
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the homeinspectorinc.com website. On some pages, you can order services, make requests, and register to receive materials. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:

How We Use Information:
We use the information you provide when placing an order to prepare the inspection report template. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

Information that appears on the inspection report template will be transferred to the final inspection report and could include some or all of the following:
• Buyer’s Name, Mailing Address, Email Address, Phone Number
• Buyer’s Realtor Name, Mailing Address, Email Address, Phone Number
• Owner’s Name, Mailing Address, Email Address, Phone Number (in most cases, only the seller’s name is listed.)
• Owner’s Realtor Name, Mailing Address, Email Address, Phone Number
• Additional Email Addresses as requested by the Paying Client
• Title Company’s Name, Escrow Officer’s Name and Escrow Number
• Method of Payment
• Typed Authorization Signature
• Process Instructions
• Inspected Property Address
Unless otherwise instructed, a copy of the inspection report and all information contained therein will be delivered to each of the respective parties listed on the order form with the exception of the Title Company. Where escrow billing is required, the Title Company will receive an invoice that lists the Paying Client’s name, the inspected property address, escrow number and fee.
We use email addresses to deliver reports, conduct correspondence and answer the email we receive. With our clients permission we may also use an email address or cell phone number to solicit for a review. This is conducted through a paid, third party company called Broadly.com. Email addresses are otherwise not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties except where they appear on the inspection report. Inspection reports are only delivered to the client, their respective agent and the sellers respective agent unless the client requests the report not be sent to any other person(s) bedsides themselves.
It is recognized that the California Realtors Association (CAR) CALIFORNIA RESIDENTIAL PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND JOINT ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS, paragraph 12D instructs that the seller of a property is entitled to a copy of the inspection report, where private information can be transferred to outside parties.
It is also recognized that copies of the report may be provided to parties not directly involved in the transaction by persons who have access to the report as a result of the real estate transaction. Rick Daniel Home Inspections specifically advises:
RECEIPT OF THIS REPORT BY THIRD PARTIES OR OTHER PURCHASERS OF THIS PROPERTY (OTHER THAN THE ABOVE LISTED PARTY(S)) IS NOT AUTHORIZED BY RICK DANIEL HOME INSPECTIONS.
We do retain client phone numbers and email addresses for the purpose of communication that may not be specifically related to the inspection report but could be valued as relevant to real estate ownership, maintenance, care and improved value for the property, and, as specified above, for the solicitation of a review.
We may use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers or search engines. For example, we may tell an advertiser or search engine that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
Although we do not sponsor third party ads on this website, we use Google GA4 tracking BUT NOT Google Analytics Advertising features. GA4 tracking incorporates first-party cookies and tracks: number of users, session statistics, approximate geolocation and browser and device information.
Users of this or any website website have the option to opt out of third party advertising by various methods including Google Analytics available opt-outs for the web or doing an online search using keywords such as: “how to opt out of third party advertising on a website”.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
We have and will continue to use images of actual buildings and findings from the home inspection reports for the purpose of marketing and illustration but will not provide any information that would specifically identify the location of the property or finding.
Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We constantly monitor and update the version of our WordPress platform and associated plugins. Our Website has a valid SSL certificate to further improve data security.
We use a third party software to generate the inspection order forms and notification documents. These are legal documents that establish the contractual relationship between our company and the client. This data is stored to comply with insurance policies that require we have time stamps on the contracts.
Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy:
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Our website and business is based in the United States and conducts regional business only in the United States and the State of California.
